Studley Writing Group was set up in 2014 for anyone who likes to write.
We’re a friendly group who come together 6 times a year, term-time only, to share our writing and encourage each other.
We take it in turns to set a topic for each session, and most of us tend to write something along that theme, but if we’re struggling with that particular topic or are in the middle of writing something else we want to share, then that’s fine too.
Anything goes – between us we’ve covered fiction, non-fiction, poetry, commentary, kids stories, screenplays, novels - whatever you like to write, we will listen to and provide constructive feedback and positive encouragement.
There’s about 6 regular members - we’re of mixed ages from early 20s; some have written before, some haven’t, and we all have a very different aspect on life which means every meeting is fascinating. Everyone is welcome, so come along.
All meetings are held in the community library in Studley Village Hall on a Monday 9.30am – 11am, and we buy a cup of tea/coffee from the Coffee Break (£1) halfway through the meeting.
If you would like to know more please contact Julie Parry on julie.parry12@btopenworld.com or 07731 825329, or just turn up to one of our meetings.
Feel free to come and listen or bring something to contribute; we’d love to see you.
