Come ad join us to learn all about the traditional form of English folk dance, usually with musical accompaniment, which was originally performed to banish the darkness of Winter, celebrate the warmth and fertility of Summer and bring in the Autumn’s golden harvest (we can only hope..!). Our guest speaker, Mackie Keeling, will be telling us all about her experiences with Ælfgythe Border Morris, the side with whom she danced for many years, and our competition ties in nicely with the black/silver colours of their costumes. Do come along and enjoy an afternoon with us at Studley Daytime WI – you will be made very welcome….and, of course, there will be plenty of tea and cake to go round!
